Diplomas are retained in the Office of the Registrar for two years after Convocation. If a student did not attend Convocation, the diploma can be picked up in person from Student Central, Room 1120, Western Student Services Building 3 business days after their ceremony.
There is no ceremony for the In Absentia February Convocation. In this case, diplomas will be available in Student Central 3 business days after the confer date (for 2019, is Wednesday, February 27).
Diplomas collected in person are released for no charge.
Pick-up by Third Party
If you cannot attend Convocation and wish to have someone pick up your degree or diploma on your behalf, please visit the Office of the Registrar website for complete information on how to submit a release of information form.
If you are unable to obtain your diploma in person, you can request your diploma be mailed to you. Visit the Office of the Registrar website for more details.
Degrees, diplomas and certificates normally will not be awarded in advance of Convocation ceremonies. A degree, diploma, or certificate may be released early at the discretion of the Office of the Registrar if the student demonstrates that the document is required by an employer or for a work visa. See the Office of the Registrar website for more information.
